This Usage Policy sets out rules that apply to everyone who uses Clkly, regardless of plan. It's designed to keep the platform safe, compliant and good for the senders and receivers of email that flow through it. Breaches may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.
1. What you must not do
Spam and unsolicited email
- Send email to contacts who have not given you appropriate consent or who you do not have a legitimate business relationship with
- Use purchased or scraped mailing lists
- Send without a working unsubscribe link
- Disguise the sender or subject to evade spam filters
- Send to addresses that have unsubscribed from your previous sends on Clkly or elsewhere
Illegal or harmful content
- Content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene or incites violence
- Content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights
- Phishing, credential harvesting, malware distribution or social-engineering campaigns
- Promoting regulated industries without appropriate authorisation (financial services, gambling, pharmaceuticals, weapons, adult content)
Platform abuse
- Using link tracking to cloak or obscure destinations the user would reasonably object to
- Attempting to circumvent usage limits or plan restrictions
- Reverse-engineering, scraping or load-testing the API without permission
- Using the service to build a competing product
2. What we require of you
- Honour unsubscribes within 10 working days and never re-send to an address that has opted out
- Include your physical postal address in marketing emails (required by CAN-SPAM in the US and recommended elsewhere)
- Maintain a reasonable spam complaint rate (we may suspend accounts above 0.3% to protect deliverability for other customers)
- Use accurate From addresses — no impersonation of other people or brands
- Keep your account credentials secure and tell us immediately at support@utilityseo.com if you suspect unauthorised use
3. How we enforce this
We may, at our sole discretion and without notice:
- Pause sends from your workspace to investigate a complaint
- Restrict specific features (e.g. outbound email) while a concern is open
- Suspend or terminate your account in serious cases
- Refuse refunds where the breach is clear
- Report serious abuse (phishing, CSAM, threats of harm) to the relevant authorities
4. Reporting abuse
If you've received a message sent via Clkly that you believe breaches this policy, please email support@utilityseo.com with the message headers attached. We take abuse seriously and investigate every report.
5. Updates
We may update this Usage Policy to address new kinds of abuse or to clarify existing rules. Continued use of Clkly after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
