This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Clkly, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. It is written to comply with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and applicable EU GDPR obligations.

5. Sharing your data
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:
- Sub-processors who help us run the service — our cloud hosting (Railway and Vercel), our transactional email provider, and our analytics provider. Each is bound by a data processing agreement and appropriate safeguards.
- Legal and safety requests — where required by law, a court order, or to protect our rights or the rights of our users.
- Business transfers — if we are acquired or merged, your data may transfer as part of the deal; we would notify you in advance.
6. International transfers
We primarily host in the EU/UK. Where data leaves the UK or EEA (for example, to sub-processors in the US), we use UK/EU Standard Contractual Clauses or other safeguards approved under the UK GDPR.
7. Retention
We keep your personal data only as long as needed to deliver the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. If you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it (for example, invoices for tax purposes).
8. Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restrict or object to processing
- Port your data to another provider
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
To exercise any of these rights, email support@utilityseo.com.
9. Cookies and tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage; you can opt out of GA4 tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add-on. We do not run advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
10. Security
Personal data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to customer data is limited to personnel who need it for support or engineering tasks, and is logged. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in risk to your rights or freedoms, we will notify you and the ICO within 72 hours.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes and update the “last updated” date above.
